It is also essential to develop methods of explanation of AI. Clearly, it is necessary to be able to understand how an AI came to a decision, in order to be able to identify and correct biases and errors. It’s a bit like autopsying an algorithm to understand what didn’t work. Finally, it is essential to put in place a clear ethical framework. This framework must define the limits of AI autonomy, the values to be respected and the responsibilities of each. It’s a bit like writing a code of ethics for algorithms.

Autonomous AI is a promising technology, but also potentially dangerous. It is crucial to be aware of the risks it represents and to put in place the necessary safeguards. The goal is not to curb innovation, but to ensure that AI remains at the service of humanity. And not the other way around.
